Hello, I’m Leo. I’m a PhD student in the Division of Robotics, Perception and Learning at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology :sweden: advised by Prof. Iolanda Leite. I am interested in enabling robots to have meaningful, long-term interactions with humans and ensuring that their behavior aligns with human expectations by leveraging tools from robotics, control theory, and machine learning.

Previously, I graduated from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) :brazil: with a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering. As an undergrad, I had the pleasure to work with Douglas Macharet in the Computer Vision and Robotics Lab (VeRLab). I also had the privilege to be a Robotics Institute Summer Scholar (RISS) in 2023 and 2024 at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) :us:, where I worked with Sebastian Scherer and Andrea Bajcsy, respectively.
