Hello, I’m Leo. I’m a PhD student in the Division of Robotics, Perception and Learning at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology
advised by Prof. Iolanda Leite. My work lies in the intersection of robotics and reinforcement learning and aims to make robot’s behavior more interpretable and aligned with human expectations.
Previously, I graduated from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG)
with a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering. As an undergrad, I had the pleasure to work with Douglas Macharet in the Computer Vision and Robotics Lab (VeRLab). I also had the privilege to be a Robotics Institute Summer Scholar (RISS) in 2023 and 2024 at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU)
, where I worked with Sebastian Scherer and Andrea Bajcsy, respectively.
