Hello! I am Leo, an Electrical Engineering student at UFMG, in Brazil :brazil:. I have also spent an awesome semester abroad at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden :sweden:.

I am currently working on risk-aware motion planning and control with Matti Vahs and Prof. Jana Tumova in the Division of Robotics, Perception and Learning at KTH. At UFMG, I was part of the Computer Vision and Robotics Lab (VeRLab), where I worked on planning for multi-robot systems advised by Prof. Douglas Macharet. Last summer, I worked as a Research Intern in the AirLab at Carnegie Mellon University as part of the Robotics Institute Summer Scholars (RISS) program advised by Brady Moon and Prof. Sebastian Scherer. I am also an organizer of the RISS RoboLaunch outreach initiative that brings leading robotics and AI researcher around the world to present their work in an accessible manner.

Besides those mentioned above, I am very grateful for the wonderful mentors and collaborators I had including Héctor Azpúrua, Caio Conti and Rachel Burcin.

Apart from research, I enjoy playing and watching football, mainly Flamengo games (the biggest team in Brazil as brilliantly proved by Bruno Henrique).
